The Kupa Valley
The Kupa brings a different mood to the highlands. Around Brod na Kupi, the region opens towards a river valley, small settlements and a landscape shared with neighbouring Slovenia. Follow the river’s geography rather than looking for a single landmark.
The Kupa source is a separate excursion inside Risnjak National Park. Plan it through the park’s official visitor information, with time for the approach and return. River activities elsewhere in the valley should be arranged with a local operator and appropriate conditions.
